INITIAL CLASS

Warming up!
We will present the unit core to the students, introducing the main topics we will study during the unit, including the atmosphere and atmospheric phenomena, the water cycle and measurement tools of weather.
Then, we will introduce the methodology we will use, introducing what flipped classroom is and how the development of the learning, inside and outside the classroom would be, making sure they are aware that they must watch and understand the videos in order to perform correctly in the daily activities of the classroom.
Once the topic is introduced, we'll explain the learning situation they will have to do during the didactic unit. In groups of 4 selected by the teacher, they will receive a city of Spain (of different Autonomous Communities) or of the world. And then, at the final time of each session, they will have to cast the temperature and the rain of that place on that day. These groups will be the ones used in all the group activities done during the sessions. Taking into consideration that the class has 24 students, the cities that will be used are Almería, Asturias, Dublin, Moscow, Río de Janeiro and Quito. The cities will be raffled to each group randomly.

Once everything is clear and we have solved any doubts students have about the topic or the methodology, we will evaluate the previous knowledge of the students using a kahoot we have prepared with general questions about the topic, which link will be:
https://create.kahoot.it/details/ebeed1ab-31ed-4a24-a1ea-87b9f5201f98
- We will take the students to the technology room where each one will be able to use a computer.
As children are answering the questions, we will stop and explain the questions that a large number of students have answered incorrectly.
The main objectives that we will achieve with this session is 1.2 To analyze the seasons of the year and explain the atmospheric phenomena which belong to each season.
