Session 4

Weather and weather measuring tools.
Before the class, the student will have to listen to the following audio, understand and take notes of the concepts that it contains: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SHUlSAO5DZrhzdlS5dVda5VJORTy0kGu/view?usp=drive_link
Once the students have heard the audio, the teacher will answer the possible doubts and explain the activity. (10 minutes)
From the photo, the students must go one by one to the blackboard to name the symbol they choose, in order to complete the map with the name of the atmospheric phenomena (Photo 2) . (20 minutes)
Once students have visualized the previous audio, we will start the activity.
Activate previous knowledge about instruments used to measure weather. Asking each student individually through a quiz if they have ever used any of the instruments to measure weather. Then, as teachers we will explain all the instruments focusing on those which are the most unknown to the group.
Then the class will be divided into groups of 4, and we will distribute 2 decks of cards to each group: one with images of the measuring instruments and another with the names. Students will have to match the names with their graphic representation.
Finally, we will start a discussion among the groups to check the correct association between the names and the images.
(25 minutes)
The main didactic objective of this session is 1.3 to know different measuring instruments of atmospheric phenomena (rain gauge, barometer, anemometer...).
